Durell Morgan is a New York born makeup artist and beauty photographer. As a makeup artist, he has worked for various cosmetic brands including Sephora, MAC, NARS, Burberry Beauty and Chanel. He specializes in clean natural beauty with a simplistic hand. Durell has also been privileged to be a guest educator at various Cosmetology institutes on the east coast including New York and Washington DC. His work has been seen in publications including Women’s Wear Daily, Elegant Magazine, Vogue Italia, Huff Magazine and Institute Magazine. His clients include Kerry Washington, Dawn Harper Nelson, Jhene Aiko, and Rah Diggah.
Durell gains inspiration from life and nature. Being a makeup artist has helped him understand features and the effects of light which furthered his interest in becoming a beauty photographer. Some of his greatest inspirations come from makeup greats Pat McGrath, Val Garland, Vanessa Evelyn, Sam Fine, Dick Paige, Diane Kendall, Kabuki, and Topolino.
Durell is currently working between Atlanta and New York in TV/Film and has worked for Makeup Department Heads including; Marietta Carter Narcisse, Phyllis Williams, Carol Rasheed, Denise Tunnell.
